ROTA STRUCTURE
Anaesthesia
There is a multi-tiered 1-in-8 rota system. In general, there are two weeks with no on calls, followed by two weeks of intermittent on calls. Annual leave and study leave must be taken when not on call.

Intensive Care:
There is a multi-tiered 1-in-8 rota system which entails predominantly long days or nights, with five short days every 8 weeks. In general, CT1/2 (SHO’s) cover any unit (East Wing 1/2, Lane Fox, HDU or GCCU) while ST3+ airway-trained registrars cover East Wing 2 ICU and Guy’s Critical Care Unit.
